MANAGEMENT SYSTEM CERTIFICATION

The post 80's era saw a proliferation of compliance standards. As companies became more and more complex in their operations, the modern industries required specific management system(s) to focus on customer orientation, information security, environmental protection, occupational health & safety of employee etc.

It was felt that the generic standards such as ISO 9000 was not completely equipped to attract specialized industries like software development, contact centers automobile and auto- ancillaries; aeronautical engineering company's and others. This requirement necessitated the use of customized quality management standards such as COPC, SEI CMM, TS 16949, ISO/EMS 14001, OHSAS, ISO 27001 etc.

The management system concepts also brought in the option for certification by a third party agency. This option facilitates the industries to cascade different management systems to enhance its image and customer confidence.
